Innovative Health Center Living Centered Around You
At Valley View, we are dedicated to promoting wellness through improving the quality of life. Just because you need care doesn't mean you have to give up your independence—or your zest for life. Our unique approach to health care provides nursing and restorative care with occupational, physical and speech therapy in a comfortable, compassionate and committed environment.
Our private and semi-private rooms make up a series of smaller neighborhoods, each with unique décor and a resident-selected theme—an innovative design for Health Center living. Each neighborhood has its own dining room where residents can enjoy great food and fellowship and participate in exercise classes, musical programs, parties, movies and more. To assure satisfaction, each neighborhood program director works with residents to plan activities that reflect their preferences.
Because each neighborhood has a dedicated staff, staff members learn about individual resident needs and residents get to know the people they interact with every day. Together, staff members and residents are continually finding ways to improve the Health Center’s activities, services and environment—an advance you won’t find in more traditional Health Center settings.
One of our neighborhoods provides support for those with Alzheimer's and other memory limitations. It has an enclosed courtyard, dining room, activities room and lounge.
Valley View's Health Center also offers Adult Day Care and Respite Care.
Valley View is a recipient of the Kansas Department on Aging PEAK award for "Promoting Excellent Alternatives in Kansas Nursing Homes." This award recognizes communities instituting innovative, non-traditional models of care.
Independent Living
The Estates at Valley View offers independent living in a range of single-floor apartment sizes and floor plans, each with a fully equipped kitchen, private patio, safety-equipped bathroom and emergency call-light response system.
Because housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, groundskeeping and scheduled transportation are available, it’s easy to lead an active lifestyle, taking advantage of day trips, book clubs, gardening, bridge, movies and social events.
A wealth of amenities and services makes life comfortable and convenient. The Estates Restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also offer an on-site beauty shop and laundry room as well as an indoor, heated pool, whirlpool, library, exercise equipment, greenhouse, and comfortable lounges for socializing with friends.
Assisted Living
Our unique approach to promoting wellness extends beyond our Health Center. For those who need a little extra help with everyday tasks, The Cottonwoods at Valley View offers the ideal combination of independence and peace of mind. With a dedicated, 24-hour staff providing assistance when needed, residents can enjoy life in a dynamic, resident-focused setting.
Just like other Valley View residents, those living in The Cottonwoods can participate in an array of fun and fulfilling activities. Visits from community groups include presentations by the local nature center, historical society and high schools.
In keeping with our innovative neighborhood design, comfortable, private apartments are arranged around a shared sitting area and activity room, so residents can easily spend time with friends, neighbors and family members who come by to visit. The Cottonwoods dining room even offers a lovely wooded view.
To help residents savor a more rewarding, worry-free lifestyle, housekeeping, flat laundry, maintenance and three daily meals are all included, plus transportation is also available to area shops, restaurants and other destinations.
