AMS Care Services

AMS Care Services provides the following services, based on the needs of our clients and their families:

• Light housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, laundry, changing beds, and care of house plants
• Assistance with self-administered medications (reminding client to take them at the prescribed time(s) and/or following up to ensure they are taken)
• Personal care, including
  • assisting with grooming needs (hair care, shaving, routine skin care, and brushing teeth)
  • supervising or assisting with tub baths, showers, and/or sponge baths
  • assisting with dressing and undressing
  • assisting with walking and routine daily exercise activities
• Meal planning and preparation
• Grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions and personal care items
• Organizing mail
• Companionship and conversation
• Oversee home deliveries and maintenance provided by a third party
• Respite care such as assistance and support provided to family caregivers
• Arrange and escort client to appointments and outings
• Trash removal (from house for pick-up)
• Maintain client calendar and schedules

Our services are designed to support those clients who are basically housebound, physically or mentally challenged, recently discharged from the hospital; family caregivers; and accident victims. Service Area

Services are primarily provided in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas. However, if a need arises, we will strive to accommodate anyone requiring service outside this geographical area within a 100 mile radius of Philadelphia County.

Services are available on a 24 hours a day, seven days a week basis to conform to clients' needs and preferences.

Not only do we create care plans and provide services to the person needing assistance but we make sure we sit and work with the family to make sure that there is a healthy balance and environment for those family members charged with the primary care of the person needing assistance. We make sure that we take into account the family's schedule requirements, "time off" needs, vacation plans and other needs (respite care).
