Caring For Our Residents...

Clarendon Court Residence for Memory Care is committed to caring for individuals with various degrees of memory impairment.  We strive to obtain the highest quality of care for our residents and their families.  Unlike many long-term care facilities we do not just dedicate a wing or area to Alzheimer’s, but rather our entire care home is dedicated to care for these special individuals.  Our goal of providing a family atmosphere, resident dignity and exceptional care is achieved primarily by surround our residents with caring and well-trained staff.

At Clarendon Court we offer the following amenities to ensure quality of life for the memory-impaired individual:

Secured Environment:
Secured with a locking keypad front entry.  Fully fenced backyard/patio area with a staff alert alarm system to notify when residents visit the yard/patio area.  This system allows residents freedom and independence while providing a sense of safe movement. 

Highly qualified and trained staff:
All staff members including caregivers, housekeeping, and kitchen staff must attend semi-monthly training sessions conducted by our registered nurse, Administrator, owner or outside accredited professional.  This semi-monthly training exceeds state requirements by twice the amount of in-service training required.

Activity Director on staff:
Our activity program ensures the social and physical stimulation needed to obtain a healthy balance for our residents.  Arts and crafts, music, exercise, trivia and reminiscing, baking and gardening are all part of our program.  In addition to group activities we offer one-on-one time to promote a sense of belonging.  Nobody gets lost in the crowd at Clarendon Court!

Registered Nurse:
Our nurse makes regularly weekly visits and is also available on-call.  This professional oversight contributes to the quality of care we provide your love one on a daily basis.

Our philosophy of care is to provide services to the memory impaired resident utilizing for the following principles: An acceptance of each resident just as he or she is; a focus on each resident’s individual needs; and a commitment to maintain an affectionate, loving and tranquil environment.  We strive to treat each resident with love, hugs, and to include them as part of our family.
