Providing care to residents of Napa for the past 15 years makes Hearts That Matter the first choice for care. We are committed and dedicated to servicing the needs of seniors in the community, and offer a wide range of care to ensure a better way of life and to maintain independence. Fourteen years of helping seniors, one-to-one, has served to make Owner/Administrator, Kimberly Geis an outstanding personal support caregiver. Kim is an expert in all facets of caregiving from complex tasks of rehabilitation, to seeing someone through hospice care, to simply giving someone a ride to the grocery store. Kim is truly dedicated and responsive to what seniors in Napa Valley need. Her motto has always been,

Hourly Care In Your Home
Not all clients are in need of a caregiver living with them. Many use our caregivers on an hourly basis, for example, just during the day, just during the night, or just on the weekends. Some use the four hour minimum shift for transportation to doctor appointments or medication administrations. Hearts That Matter, Inc. caregivers can be flexible, and are happy to provide care for as little as a four hour shift up to 24 hours per day.

Live-in care 24 hours per day
A live-in caregiver stays in the home 24 hours a day, and is available to assist morning, noon and night. If we provide live-in care for 7 days a week, we assign a primary caregiver and a back-up caregiver to the job. The primary caregiver provides care for 4-5 days a week, and the back-up caregiver takes over for the remainder of the week.
All live-in caregivers must maintain a separate, permanent residence. They are permitted to reside on the client's premises only during their assigned days and nights, and they must leave the client's premises with their belongings on their days off. They are strictly forbidden from using the client's property, such as phone, television or car, for their own, personal use. Live-in caregivers must also respect the client policy on visitors: none are allowed while providing live-in care.
Hospice Care
Working with the professionals at Hospice we provides end-of-life care, comfort and dignity at home.
Hospice care is best at home. When loved ones reach the stage where curative treatment is no longer possible, assistance from a Hearts that Matter, Inc. caregiver can improve their end-of-life experience. By providing continuous, one-to-one care in the comfort of home, our caregivers promote quality of life and dignity in dying —while bringing peace of mind and respite for the family.

Hearts That Matter, Inc. caregivers know the special needs of those nearing the end of life. We can help improve their care in many ways, including:
- Medication administration as ordered by Hospice
- Keeping the person comfortable
- Turning the bedridden to prevent bed sores
- Providing companionship

- Preventing a sense of abandonment
- Alerting the family or hospice when needed
