Lexington Place is licensed by the Texas dept. of Health and Human Services as a type B assisted living home as well as licensed to care for Alzheimer and dementia related diseases. We maintain an elevated level of care including incontinence, dementia, Alzheimer’s and assistances needed with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management.
A Caring Staff We provide a high intensity of care with a low 1 to 5 staff to resident ratio. Each resident gets the individual care they need and deserve because we only staff certified nursing assistants not self-titled caregivers. To insure that our personnel are the very best, we conduct full background checks, work history and reference checks to find the most qualified nursing assistants in the industry.
Our staff creates a warm atmosphere by providing loving personal attention that you won’t find at traditional nursing homes. We have a smaller, familiar setting and a transition team to help make the move easier for our residents. We continue physical therapy as ordered by a physician and regular doctor visits make sure our residents have a healthier quality of life. Registered nurses are available to our staff 24/7. At Lexington Place, it is our goal to continue our award winning care in a safe and warm loving atmosphere. We are dedicated to creating the very best possible long-term care alternative.
We provide extensive training in geriatrics including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other medical conditions. We have longer on-the-job training to make sure our staff is ready to care for our residents and respond to emergencies. Frequent in-service training sessions keep our skills sharp and up to date. An excellent work environment and incentives for our staff, help us maintain a high retention of caregivers so that familiar faces always surround our residents. Safety and Security At Lexington Place we do everything possible to ensure the safety of our residents. All of our homes offer nurse call buttons in every room and restroom, full wheel chair accessibility with safety bars in all restrooms, bed alarms and bed safety rails. Magnetic controlled access doors secure our facilities and state of the art fire suppression systems are installed. We offer multiple in-home cameras so that families can monitor at any time through the internet. All of our medications go through a 3 tier inspection to make sure there are no medication errors. Our homes are located just minutes away from major medical facilities in case of emergencies.
